Every enrollment in Weekly Mental Tune Up helps fund The Human Operating System™ Transition Program—a specialized human development program designed to help young adults transitioning from foster care build the beliefs, habits, confidence, resilience, and psychology needed to create a brighter future.
Each year, more than 15,000 young adults age out of foster care without the permanent family support that many of us take for granted. For too many, adulthood begins without a trusted mentor, consistent encouragement, or someone who simply believes in them.
Research shows that many face homelessness, unemployment, financial instability, and other significant challenges during the first few years after leaving care.
We believe their future shouldn’t be determined by their past.
That’s why every WMTU enrollment helps provide young adults with something many have never consistently experienced:
While every young person’s story is different, many have spent years hearing messages that quietly shaped what they came to believe about themselves, their worth, and what was possible for their future.
Those messages eventually become part of their Human Operating System™—the internal beliefs and expectations that influence how they think, the choices they make, and the actions they take every day.
Imagine growing up…
• Never having someone who consistently believes in you.
• Never hearing, “I’m proud of you.”
• Never feeling truly accepted.
• Never having someone encouraging you to keep going.
• Never knowing what stability feels like.
Instead, imagine hearing…
“You’ll never amount to anything.”
“Who do you think you are?”
“You’re a loser.”
“No one wants you.”
“Why even try?”
Eventually…
We stop hearing those words… and start believing them.
That’s the foundation of The Human Operating System™ Transition Program.
Beginning approximately six months before a young adult leaves foster care—and continuing for six months afterward—we help participants replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones through weekly human development lessons, practical life skills, encouragement, accountability, and a supportive community.
Together, we help them build:
Because when we learn to make our psychology work for us…
➡️ We think differently.
➡️ We take action.
➡️ We perform better.
➡️ We achieve more.
And ultimately… we build a better life.
Every young adult deserves someone who believes in them… until they learn to believe in themselves.
Someone who reminds them they matter.
Someone who teaches them that their past does not define their future.
Someone who helps them build the confidence, habits, and mindset needed to create a life they can be proud of.
That is why I created the WMTU Human Operating System™ Transition Program.
My personal mission has always been simple:
To be the person for others that I needed growing up.
Our goal is to help them begin their independence - believing they are capable of building an extraordinary life.
